Vadim Rassokhin, MD is a Professor of the Department of Socially Significant Infections, Head of the Laboratory of Chronic Viral Infections Institute of Experimental Medicine of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Leading Researcher at the Pasteur Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology. Since 2010 he has led multiple clinical and research programs in HIV medicine, focusing on the issues of physical and secondary diseases, cognitive disorders, viral hepatitis/HIV coinfection, and examination of HIV-infected patients’ health status.Dr. Rassokhin’s scope of research interests includes infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases and cancer.
Since 2009 he has been a co-organizer of the annual international conference "HIV infection and immunosuppression", since 2013 - the symposium "Pharmacoeconomics of viral infections and comorbid conditions", which are held in St. Petersburg, since 2016 - the conference "Epidemiology of HIV infection, viral hepatitis and comorbid conditions in the north-west of Europe ".
He presents at Russian and international conferences and participates in national councils of experts on various antiretroviral drugs and treatment programs for HIV and viral hepatitis in adults, adolescents and children. He has published over 160 articles and book chapters.
Dr. Rassokhin is also the Deputy Chief Editor of the Russian scientific journal "HIV Infection and Immunosuppressive Disorders", editor of the journal supplements "Sputnik of Specialist - HIV/AIDS” and the "Medical Thematic Archive", member of the editorial board of several scientific journals.
