Victor Musiime, MBChB, MMed, PhD, is an Associate Professor at Makerere University, College of Health Sciences, School of Medicine, Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, in Kampala, Uganda. Here he provides didactic and clinical teaching to undergraduate and graduate students, conducts research, and supervises doctoral and masters research. He also conducts research at Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC), where he holds the position of Senior Research Consultant. He has worked as a Paediatrician at JCRC in HIV research, clinical care and treatment since 2004. He has also been an investigator on several research protocols, including multicenter clinical trials, mainly in infectious diseases, and more particularly in Paediatric and Adolescent HIV/AIDS. Victor also provides clinical care to children on the inpatient/outpatient wards of Mulago National Referral Hospital, the teaching hospital for Makerere University; particularly the Infectious diseases ward, the emergency ward, and the gastrointestinal outpatient clinic. In additional he sits on several local, regional and global advisory boards and technical working groups. His clinical and research interests are in Infectious diseases, child nutrition, gastroenterology, and other child health issues.
