Guido van den Berk is an infectious disease physician in the OLVG Hospital in Amsterdam, the countries largest HIV center with over 3500 clients living with HIV.
In close collaboration with their patients, the OLVG HIV team has fully implemented the Value Based HIV Care (VBHC) principles to their HIV care which resulted in winning the VBHC patient outcomes award in 2019.
He is chairman of the Happi App foundation (www.happiapp.eu), which provides knowledge, ease, and trust in dealing with one's health and chronic diseases, such as HIV.
As a chairman of the Ushamwari Foundation, he contributes to the financial and medical support of three Zimbabwean hospitals.
