Overview
Welcome

The 1st International Conference on (Re-) Emerging Infectious Diseases (ICREID) was organized on 12-14 March 2018 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

It attracted nearly 200 participants from 37 countries. This high profile conference brought together all global stakeholders to share research results, important clinical developments and updates on ongoing and new trials in the field of (Re-) Emerging Infectious Diseases.

The program featured plenary lectures, abstract and poster presentations, along with discussions & debates; providing a unique opportunity to meet colleagues in a scientific focused setting.

The Organizing Committee would like to thank all the invited speakers and participants for their contribution to this meeting!

The pressing need for a scientific platform was demonstrated by both the high number of participants attended as well as the number of abstracts that have been received. In addition to the presentations on real life experiences, a large number of well-recognized experts have confirmed the need for informational exchange and education by giving didactic lectures covering several important topics in preventing and managing an outbreak.

We are grateful to our sponsors & exhibitors Africa CDC, Janssen, Sysmex, Cepheid, Altona, Abbott and Nanobiosys for making this event possible.
