Patrick Li, MBBS, FHKCP, FHKAM, FRCP

Biography

Dr. Li is the Co-Director of the Neurology Centre of the Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital and is also Honorary Consultant of the Department of Medicine, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hong Kong. He was Consultant Physician in charge of the AIDS Clinical Service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital from 1994 till 2013. Dr. Li had in the past served as President of the Hong Kong Society for Infectious Diseases and Co-Chairman of the Steering Committee of TREAT Asia (Therapeutics Research, Education and AIDS Training for Asia). He has been Chairperson of the Hong Kong Advisory Council on AIDS since 2017 and is also the Vice Chairman (Service) of the Hong Kong AIDS Foundation. 

Dr. Li graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong in 1978 and received neurology training at the Newcastle Regional Neurological Centre in England.

Dr Li has co-authored over 100 papers in local and international peer-reviewed journals and written 15 book chapters and review articles.
