The 4th International Forum on HIV Treatment and Prevention in Asia-Pacific Region is co-organized by Virology Education, WHO Collaborating Center for Comprehensive Management of HIV Treatment and Care (WHOCC), Beijing Ditan Hospital, Department of Infectious Diseases of Capital Medical University, and the Home of Red Ribbon.

The program is designed to promote understanding among physicians, nurses, policymakers, and community advocates from the Asia WHO region on WHO policies and guidelines for prevention, testing, treatment, resistance and implementation strategies.

Each activity will be delivered in a virtual format and live-streamed to the Asia-Pacific region. To increase participation and stimulate our target audience, simultaneous interpretation from English to Chinese, and vice-versa will be provided.

Who Should Attend?
Primary: Medical doctors involved in the management and treatment of people living with HIV in the region.

Secondary: Public health workers and researchers engaged with HIV related disciplines.
Meeting Objectives
- Update healthcare professionals and public health officials on the WHO 2018 ART guidelines to facilitate their implementation. The focus is on the provinces hardest-hit by the HIV epidemic in China and in the Asia-Pacific region;

- Facilitate international communication within the AP region to allow an exchange of the latest scientific developments and country experiences in HIV treatment and prophylaxis. In particular, in the context of the updated WHO recommendations; and

- Adopt best practices from other countries in the AP region to reinforce the implementation of WHO 2018 guidelines.
Learning Objectives
After participating in the 4th International Forum on HIV Treatment and Prevention in Asia-Pacific Region, participants will be able to:

- Reflect on the epidemiology of HIV in the region and on the progress toward 95-95-95;
- Understand the WHO HIV policies and guidelines approach and the data that drives this;
- Have an overview of the WHO guidelines and strategies regarding prevention, testing, linkage to care, antiretroviral treatment and resistance;
- Reflect on opportunities, challenges and gaps in service provision in the region; and
- Understand from best practice examples how to implement change.

Language
The official language of the conference is English.
