I was devastated to hear that a wonderful man and scientist, Charles Boucher, has passed away.
In my memory, he will always remain young, smart and cheerful. There is no limit to my sadness, but I will always remember his wonderful talks at conferences. I join my colleagues and express my condolences over this loss.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. Tetyana Loginova
My prayers to him and his family. Rest in peace.
I am very fortunate to be a regular recipient of the Virology Education scholarships to attend workshops and forums on HIV and hepatitis / HIV co-infection! I always remember him with his curly hair falling down his forehead, thick white-rimmed glasses on his always thoughtful face! His presentations, questions, and discussion sessions were always interesting! I still remember sitting at the same table with him during the meeting with all scholarship recipients, his warm welcome speech made us so happy. Now he is gone forever, all colleagues and students can no longer see him in the upcoming workshops or meetings, but I know he is always in everyone's mind! His enthusiasm, passion, creativity and strength in science will forever be maintained and developed!
Rest in peace, Charles Boucher!
With my sincere condolences, respect and gratitude for him!

A talented scientist, a kind mentor and a good person passed away.
Our sincere condolences to family, friends, and the entire team of the Virology School and Academic Medical Education
May His soul rest in peace.
We loved your passion for science, intensity of enquiry, quest for truth and enthusiasm for training and mentorship. But most of all we loved your humanity and sense of fun. Of late we really appreciated your passion and commitment for adolescent health. We will miss you and always remember you- the adolescence and HIV workshop will be the ongoing tribute to your leadership and contribution. Our heartfelt condolences to your family, the eVirology team and all of your nearest and dearest.
Our condolences to the bereaved family, likewise to the HIV and AIDS community of workers, advocates and service providers.
