I am very sad to hear the passing away of Charles. We have known each other for 20 years through Joep Lange. He is a very sincere man, always willing to help. One time, he offered to help boost the attendants of the Bangkok Symposium on HIV Medicine held annually by HIV-NAT (the HIV Netherlands Australia Thailand Research Collaboration), showing his thoughtful and friendly mind.
I wish to confer my sincere condolence to Charles' family and colleagues.

I am heartbroken to hear of Charles's passing. In the time that I had known him, I found him to be keen, curious, kind, and insightful. I will never forget his smiling eyes. Although he has left us much too soon, he leaves behind him a powerful legacy. His influential work on HIV and leadership at VE will echo for generations to come.

Dear Charles, I will miss seeing you at various scientific conferences. And I will miss hearing your anecdotes about all your chickens!

My deepest condolences to his family, colleagues and friends.

Sincerely,
Maryam

Incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Dr Charles Boucher. I remember him way back as co-organiser of the HIV Drug Resistance Workshops in the '90s which provided a terrific forum for researchers to present their work and build collaborations. He continued the spirit of those meetings through Virology Education. My deepest condolences to his family as well as the team at Virology Education & Academic Medical Education. He will be missed. Vale Charles.

I have just learned of Charles death today. I am deeply saddened by the news. Charles was one of my most respected colleagues. A true scientist. A deeply honest man. A good man. A man of wit, humor, knowledge and talent. I keep ardent memories of times when vivid yet highly respectful discussions came up at conference or meetings, mostly at the HIV drug resistance workshop, where he acted as an ardent leader and moderator.
