Asian Stigma & Discrimination Forum 2023

The Asian Stigma & Discrimination Forum 2023 took place on 8 June 2023 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre prior to APACC 2023.

The Asian Stigma & Discrimination Forum 2023 is an educational program of highly interactive half-day program on strategies to reduce stigma and discrimination experienced by PLWHIV. The program targets all relevant stakeholders, such as healthcare providers, community advocates, and policymakers.  

The lectures reflect on region-specific aspects of the HIV epidemic, national policies, guidelines, and societal context. They include community healthcare perspectives of HIV-related stigma and discrimination, as well as national plans/programs for the implementation of strategies to eliminate these major issues for PLWHIV. The format offers opportunities to discuss and share experiences relevant in particular to the local and regional settings.

Registration is free for all Regular Delegates*. A registration fee applies to other individuals.

On 7 June, the official pre-meeting "HIV Cascade of Care: Closing the Gap" will take place.

From 8-10 June, just after Asian Stigma & Discrimination 2023, APACC 2023 will take place.

You can register for all three meetings when registering for the Asian Stigma & Discrimination Forum 2023.

*Registration is free for the following participants: NGO Representatives, Advocates, Community Representatives, Policy Makers/ Government Representatives or Healthcare Professionals. Healthcare practitioners are defined as professionals that provide any type of health care service to patients living with HIV or other diseases.

The Asian Stigma & Discrimination Forum 2023 is accredited by the following societies. To claim the CME points, members of the societies must either log on to the virtual congress portal, or sign up on the attendance sheet onsite, and attend the full sessions. Additional information such as membership number or license number might be required after the event.

The Asian Stigma & Discrimination Forum 2023, Singapore, 08/06/2023, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 2 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Asian Stigma & Discrimination Forum 2023 is accredited by the Taiwan AIDS Society with 1 credit. To claim the CME points, members of the Taiwan AIDS Society must log on to the virtual congress portal or sign up on the attendance sheet onsite and attend the full sessions.  

Fellows of the Academy that participate in overseas activities physically or online may submit their attendance proofs to their respective Colleges for CMECPD claim. Please be aware that some Academy Colleges might request their Fellows to seek pre-approval before attending overseas CMECPD activities. The Asian Stigma and Discrimination Forum 2023 is accredited by the Malaysian Pharmacists Society with 4 credits. To claim the points, members must attend the full sessions (in-person or virtually). 

The Asian Stigma & Discrimination Forum 2023 is accredited by the Infectious Diseases Association of Thailand (IDAT) with up to 2.75 credits. To claim the CME points, members of the IDAT must attend the full sessions (in-person or virtually).
